Prague Spring
The Prague Spring was a period of political liberation in Czechoslovakia against the Soviet domination due to World War 2. The series of reforms that occurred during the Prague Spring (attempted by reformist Alexander Dubček) were main focused on attaining more civil rights for the citizens. These reforms were intended to obtain democracy in Czechoslovakia. Unfortunately, the only change that survived through the end of the Prague Spring was the splitting of the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. All other reforms attempted were quickly snubbed by the Soviet rule.
